Last Thursday, 19 June 2014, VICOMTECH-IK4 organized a one-day End-User workshop related to the P-REACT research project, funded by the European Commision under the FP7 program. Participants included officers from the San Sebastian and Renteria local police forces and representatives from five different private security companies.

During the workshop end-users provided very valuable information on their current needs and concerns with regard to petty crime and the surveilance systems they have in place today. The participants contributed towards the end-user requirements by filling out questionnaires and with an open discussion about the project’s goals and design. Furthermore, several of the participants offered themselves to provide further collaboration to the P-REACT project.

The workshop was a success and VICOMTECH-IK4 has taken the responsibility to maintain the attendees informed of the progress of the project.
