The IEEE International Conference on Telecommunications and Multimedia (TEMU) 2014 took place from Monday 28th to Wednesday 30th July 2014 at the Astoria Hotel, Heraklion, Crete, Greece. The aim of P-REACT dissemination activities in the IEEE TEMU 2014 conference was the introduction of the project (concept, architecture and impact) in the EU Telecommunication and Multimedia society, researchers and professionals from academia, industry and government organisations.

Conference participants had the opportunity to visit Future intelligence’s booth during the event. A special introductory poster was prepared and visitors had the chance to be engaged with the basic functions of the project’s subsystems and how P-REACT and its vision can be used under the IoT “umbrella” in order to realise solutions for smart cities environments. Heraklion is one of the 3 major cities in Greece which already started to implement a coherent smart cities plan including security and safety of the citizens, a “playground” where final P-REACT solutions can be applied.
